Govt Aims to Resolve Public Grievances in 21 Days, Shorter than 30 Days in 2022

The government now aims to resolve public grievances in 21 days, down from the 30 days set in 2022. The new timeline is part of the 2024 Policy Guidelines from the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG). Issued on August 23rd, the updated guidelines follow Prime Minister Narendra Modi's directive for quicker and more effective grievance handling. They include setting up dedicated grievance cells in each ministry and department, staffed with knowledgeable personnel to better address public issues.
