Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana: Launched by Prime Minister Modi on January 22, 2015, under the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign, SSY offers an 8.2% annual interest rate, tax-free under Section 80C. You can invest between ₹250 and ₹1,50,000 each year. Missing a minimum deposit of ₹250 in a financial year may result in a ₹50 penalty.
