At the Sinquefield Cup, part of the Grand Chess Tour, Indian Grandmasters D. Gukesh and R. Praggnanandhaa both drew their eighth consecutive games. Gukesh, a World Championship challenger, drew with Anish Giri of the Netherlands in 23 moves, while Praggnanandhaa drew with Fabiano Caruana in 28 moves. All games in the eighth round ended in draws. Alireza Firouzja from France won the Grand Chess Tour and a $100,000 bonus, with his longest game being an 80-move draw against Ian Nepomniachtchi.
