A huge diamond, the second-largest ever found, was discovered in Botswana last week. The 2,492-carat diamond was found by the Canadian company Lucara Diamond at the Karowe mine using X-ray technology. This is the largest diamond found in over 100 years, since the 3,106-carat Cullinan Diamond was discovered in South Africa in 1905. The Cullinan Diamond was cut into gems that are now part of the British Crown Jewels.
