Mumbai Airport Sees Significant Increase in Passenger Numbers
Mumbai International Airport Limited reported that Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) experienced a 131% recovery in passenger numbers compared to April 2019, before the pandemic. They stated that the airport had a strong increase in passenger traffic in April 2024. During that month, CSMIA served 4.36 million passengers, showing a 42% increase compared to April 2022 and a 9% increase compared to April 2023. This highlights its position as a leading global aviation hub.
