Iran Acting President appointed -Mohammad Mokhber

Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei announced Vice President Mohammad Mokhber would assume interim duties following the tragic helicopter crash that claimed the lives of President Raisi, Foreign Minister Amirabdollahian, and other officials. The crash occurred in Iran's northwest, with the wreckage located after an extensive search. Khamenei declared a five-day mourning period and invoked Article 131 of the constitution, tasking Mokhber with leading the executive branch temporarily. Mokhber is also directed to prepare for upcoming presidential elections in coordination with legislative and judicial heads.
