JSW Steel, the largest steelmaker in India by capacity, declared a dividend per share (DPS) of ₹7.30 for the financial year 2024. This dividend payout is the highest except for FY22 when it distributed ₹17.35 per share. The total dividend payout for the year amounts to ₹1,785 crore. In addition, the company paid out ₹822 crore in FY23 and a record ₹4,194 crore in FY22. Over the past two years, the payout ratio, representing the dividend as a percentage of earnings, has been around 20%.
