India's mixed 4x400m relay team clinched gold at the Asian Relays, setting a national record in the process. Despite their achievement, they missed out on qualifying for the Paris Olympics. Comprising Muhammed Ajmal, Jyothika Sri Dandi, Amoj Jacob, and Subha Venkatesan, the team finished in 3 minutes 14.12 seconds, surpassing the previous national record of 3:14.34. India led throughout all four legs of the relay, with Sri Lanka securing second place (3:17.00) and Vietnam third (3:18.45).
