Thanks to strong growth in the aviation sector over the past decade, India has risen to become the third-largest domestic airline market globally, up from fifth place ten years ago. A decade ago, India held the smallest market position with approximately 8 million seats, ranking behind Indonesia in fourth place and Brazil in third. The United States and China occupied the top two spots. Currently, the US and China continue to lead as the largest domestic aviation markets.
