Google Reassures Employees: No Mandatory Five-Day Office Return

Last week, Amazon CEO Andy Jassy announced that starting January 2, 2025, all employees must return to the office five days a week, ending remote work for good. This news caused concern among other tech companies. In response, Google reassured its employees that they only need to come in three days a week. At a recent town hall meeting, John Casey, Google's vice president of global compensation and benefits, confirmed that the current system works well and there are no plans to require daily office attendance. Apple also follows a similar three-day office policy, allowing two days of remote work.
