Federal Bank has launched SmilePay, a new facial recognition payment system. Unveiled at the Global Fintech Fest by Shalini Warrier, SmilePay lets customers make payments using just their face. This system, based on UIDAI's Bhim Aadhaar Pay platform, removes the need for cash, cards, or mobile devices. The technology is currently being tested with major companies, including Reliance Retail and Svatantra Micro Housing.
