India's Deepthi Jeevanji won a bronze medal in the women's 400m T20 final at the Paris Paralympics, finishing in 55.82 seconds. She was edged out by Ukraine's Yuliia Shuliar (55.16 seconds) and Turkey's Aysel Onder (55.23 seconds). Shuliar had previously won silver at the Tokyo Paralympics. Deepthi, who turns 21 later this month, had set a world record of 55.07 seconds at the World Para-Athletics Championships in May, but Onder broke her record with a time of 54.96 seconds in the heats.
