BRICS countries have approved a new climate and sustainable development framework, as announced by the Russian Economic Development Ministry. Finalized after a two-day forum in Moscow, the framework addresses key areas such as fair transitions, climate mitigation, adaptation, carbon markets, finance, science, and business involvement. Russian Economic Development Minister Maxim Reshetnikov highlighted that BRICS members are united in opposing unilateral green protectionist measures by developed countries, which negatively affect the economies and supply chains of developing nations.
