Avani Lekhara and Mona Agarwal won medals in the Women’s 10m Air Rifle SH1 event at the Paris Paralympics on Friday. Lekhara, the Tokyo 2020 champion, secured the gold, while Agarwal took bronze. South Korea's Yunri Lee won the silver.
Lekhara, who was behind by 0.8 points before the last shot, scored 10.5 compared to Lee’s 6.8, finishing with a total of 249.7, setting a new Paralympic record. Agarwal, who started the sport in 2022, scored 228.7.
