Amazon India has opened its first "Ashray" rest point for delivery associates in Gurugram. This initiative aims to improve working conditions for employees and follows a critical report about issues faced by Amazon's workers. Launched with the Udyasa Foundation, Project Ashray will set up rest facilities in major cities like Delhi NCR, Bengaluru, and Mumbai. The project responds to a report by UNI Global Union and the Amazon India Workers Association, which highlighted severe problems faced by Amazon workers in India.
